Stephenville, TX

Stephenville is a city in and the county seat of Erath County, Texas, United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.89 square miles (30.8 km2), of which, 11.89 square miles (30.8 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it is water. Stephenville is named after John M. Stephen, who settled there in 1854 and donated the land for the townsite laid out by George B. Erath when the county was organized in 1856.
